Paul Elash, Q.C.

Paul earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974 and his Bachelor of Laws in 1977. He was admitted to the Bar in Saskatchewan in 1978 and in Manitoba in 1982. He was appointed as Queen's Counsel (Saskatchewan) in 2016. He has extensive experience in oil & gas, corporate and commercial matters, wills and estates, tax planning and litigation. He has appeared in every level of Court in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, as well as the Federal Court of Canada.

He has also appeared before various tribunals such as the Surface Rights Boards in both provinces, the Labour Relations Board and labour arbitration tribunals. He is particularly experienced in oil and gas issues affecting private landowners and mineral owners. He is currently the City Solicitor for the City of Estevan and is active in community affairs and professional development.

Aaron Ludwig, B.Sc., LL.B

Aaron earned his Bachelor of Science (Finance) degree in 2006 at Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Connecticut, U.S.A., attending there on an athletic scholarship earned while playing major junior hockey with the Nipawin Hawks of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. He then attended the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan where he earned his Bachelor of Laws degree in 2008, following which he was admitted the Bar in Saskatchewan in 2009.

Aaron carries on a broad practice, encompassing all aspects of the legal services required by our firm's clientele. A substantial portion of his time is spent assisting clients in the negotiation of petroleum and natural gas leases and surface rights agreements. Aaron is also active in litigation and family law matters. He has appeared frequently in the Provincial Court and the Court of Queen's Bench in Saskatchewan and has also appeared before the Surface Rights Boards in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba, together with labour arbitration panel appearances.

Genevieve Golas, B. Mgmt., J.D.

Genevieve grew up on the family farm near Fisher Branch, Manitoba. She attended the University of Lethbridge where she earned her Bachelor of Management degree with Distinction in 2010. She then travelled to Australia where she attended the College of Law at Bond University in Queensland, and earned her Juris Doctor degree in 2014. She was admitted to the Bar in Saskatchewan after completing her Articles of Clerkship with Mr. Elash in 2015. Her areas of practice include commercial and corporate law, Wills and Estates, and family property division, separation and divorce. Genevieve is also proficient in piano and has competed successfully in numerous piano, voice and poetry competitions. She is actively involved in community affairs in her newly adopted home here in Estevan.
